Friday Creature Feature - Racoon
Here's another monthly event I'm starting: On the first Friday of every month I'll be posting a photo of some creature that lives in my garden. Today we have a mama racoon and her three babies in the crotch of an old oak tree.
That is so adorable! They are so cute, unless they are in my garden. I have to admit that raccoons irritate me. They are always breaking my bird feeders! Ugh.
I know we have raccoons in our area, but I have never actually seen one. I have heard that raccoons can be destructive and dangerous, but your photo is adorable!
I've mixed emotions about these creatures, as I suppose most everyone does. They are so cute and sweet to watch but I've seen the damage they can do and it's pretty devestating! Great shot!
Yes to that Kimberly! Any wildlife creature is lovely until they do something distressing. We once had a raccoon manifestation in our garden. It was such a total headache because our vegetation was destroyed overnight. >.< Well, we didn’t want to hurt that raccoon by any chance so we called a wildlife removal company and let them do the work. :]
